Specification points
- For drinking water, specify a liner certified for potable-water contact
- Exposed liners need UV resistance; specify material that meets GRI-GM13
- Anchor trenches and ballast designed against wind uplift when the pond is empty
- Safe egress with ladders or rope lines, because an empty lined pond has slippery walls
Canals
Lined canals lose far less water to seepage than earth channels. Seam layout and anchorage should suit the flow and leave access for maintenance.
