HDPE geomembrane & geotextile supply

We supply HDPE geomembrane rolls and geotextile on their own, without installation, from our trusted suppliers. Supply only is for contractors and owners who install with their own welding teams, and for projects that need material for repairs or extensions.

Geomembrane installation during construction of a landfill base liner system.

HDPE geomembrane

HDPE geomembrane to GRI-GM13, supplied with manufacturer certificates. GRI-GM13 covers HDPE from 0.75 mm to 3.0 mm thick and sets minimum properties for each thickness, including the carbon black and antioxidant content that give the sheet its long-term resistance to UV and heat.

  • Smooth sheet, for floors and moderate slopes
  • Textured sheet, where the liner needs more friction: steep slopes, or where soil cover is placed over the liner on a slope
  • Thickness to your specification or the approved design

Geotextile

Protection geotextile, usually nonwoven needle-punched, is laid under the geomembrane as a cushion where the subgrade needs one, and over it as a protection layer before cover or drainage material is placed. It is usually specified by mass per unit area (g/m²) and puncture resistance. For landfills, the grade is set by analysis or testing for each project.

  • Grade to your specification or the approved design

What to specify when you order

  • Thickness, following the approved design. For landfills, MWAN's guidelines set a minimum of 1.5 mm HDPE for non-hazardous waste, and 2.5 mm HDPE or a double liner with leak detection for hazardous waste
  • Smooth or textured sheet, and for textured sheet, one side or both
  • The area to be lined, plus an allowance for seam overlaps, anchor trenches and wastage
  • The geotextile grade, and whether it goes under the liner, over it, or both

Storage and handling on site

  • Unload and move rolls with a spreader bar and slings, or a bar through the roll core; never drag or drop them
  • Store rolls on level, smooth ground, clear of stones and sharp objects and away from site traffic
  • Keep geotextile in its wrapping and covered until it is laid, and cover it soon after, because long exposure to sunlight weakens it
  • Check the roll labels against the delivery note and the manufacturer certificates when the material arrives

Need it installed too?

HDPE sheets are joined by heat welding and every seam has to be tested, so a liner is only as good as its welding. If you don't have your own welding team, we install, weld and test the liner with our own crew. If you do, we also sell geomembrane welding and testing equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy HDPE geomembrane without installation?

Yes. We supply HDPE geomembrane rolls and geotextile on their own for contractors and owners who install with their own welding teams. Tell us the thickness, whether you need smooth or textured sheet, the quantity and the project location.

What do you need from me for a supply quotation?

The geomembrane thickness, smooth or textured sheet, the area or number of rolls, the geotextile grade if you need geotextile, the project location and when you need the material. A specification or BOQ, if you have one, lets us quote exactly what was specified.

What is the price of HDPE geomembrane per square metre?

We don't publish a fixed price, because it depends on the thickness, smooth or textured sheet, the quantity and the project location. Send us those details and we will quote.

Do I need geotextile with an HDPE liner?

Not always. Geotextile goes under the liner where the ground could puncture it, and over it where cover or drainage material will be placed. For landfill Categories 1 and 2, MWAN's guidelines require a protection layer of geotextile and/or fine sand over the geomembrane. Follow the approved design.

Have a lining project coming up?

Send us the application, approximate area, liner specification and site location, and we'll come back to you with a scope and price.
